New Bedaya Initiatives

At New Bedaya, we are committed to strengthening communities by walking alongside individuals and families facing hardship. Our chapter is defined by three core initiatives that reflect our mission to uplift, empower, and care for those in need locally and abroad. These three initiatives are as follows:

1. Bedaya Bridges

Every Bag of Hope, every warm coat, every new pair of shoes we give carries the message: You are not forgotten. This initiative builds bridges of compassion across communities and borders. It reflects our shared humanity. It’s more than charity, it’s an invitation to reconnect through shared compassion, teaching our children that faith becomes powerful when it moves us to act. We serve through three key projects: A Bag of Hope, Festive Joy for Every Child, and Warm for Every Home.

2. Family Empowerment

Culture and generational differences impact the heart of the family. Whether it’s the strain on marriages or the generation gap between parents and children, families often face deep emotional and cultural challenges as they build new lives. At New Bedaya, we help families nurture God-honoring relationships rooted in love, understanding, and biblical wisdom. Our Family Empowerment Initiative supports both husbands and wives by equipping them to navigate their differences in a new culture, handle conflict, rebuild trust, and grow together with patience and grace. It also empowers parents as they raise children between cultures, helping them strengthen their bonds and improve communication in the face of change.

3. Together We Thrive

We believe that a strong community is built on compassion, inclusion, and shared responsibility. In the face of rising housing costs, economic hardship, and growing inequality, the Together We Thrive initiative delivers practical support and renewed hope to our city’s most vulnerable groups. Our two cornerstone programs under this initiative are: Local Community Table and Hope for Her.
